What a wonderful moment in history!  Let's take a pause and reflect on what truly happened...........On November 4, 2008 we truly became the United States of America.  For the first time in my adult life I can really say I'm proud to call myself an American.  I have had moments when I was proud because I truly do love my country. BUT I AM REALLY PROUD!!!!!!!!! 

I could not help but think of my grandparents and parents and all the older folk I know who have not always had the right to vote.  I thought about "For Colored Only" sections. (I remember those)  I thought of all of the 60 demonstrations and I'm often reminded of the America that MLK envisioned.  I thought of my children and grandchildren.  And look where we are today............An African American President and 1st Family!

I have been so emotional watching all of the news clips from all over the world.  For such a time as this, God has chosen a man such as Barack Hussein Obama.  I am so proud....I can stand a little taller and hold my head a little higher and Pledge Allegiance to My Country.
